• The mounting hole must be within the specified tolerance for the fastener.
• Minimum panel thickness limitations should be observed for the fastener.
• The maximum panel hardness must not exceed the specified limit for the part.
• The fastener should be installed as per recommendations.
• Torque-Out tests shall be performed from the body side of the stud using a torque wrench on the test bolt whilst the panel is held firmly in a vise. It is important that the bolt and bush is of sufficient strength to resist thread stripping.
• The bolt must be bottomed out against end of the stud.

The Torque-Out figures obtained by this test procedure pertain to the holding power of the fastener in the sheet only. They do not pertain to the axial strength of the threads, allowable tightening torque or design loadings for the part.
