HIGH STRENGTH SELF-CLINCH STUDS EXPAND NORTHERN PRECISION’S FASTENER RANGE

Northern Precision (www.npfasteners.com), the independent market-leading single-source supplier of fasteners as well as special-purpose turned and cold-formed parts, has expanded its range of type NHTS high strength clinch studs, which are now available in thread sizes of M5 to M10.

NHTS are specifically designed for applications where greater strength is required, since they offer high-performance pull out and torque out – ideal for applications such as, for example, automotive door hinges, exhaust brackets and arm rests, as well as for foot brackets used in the white goods industry.

The studs can be provided in a selection of high performance finishes to meet specific industry requirements, as well as to individual customer’s certification needs. They are also available to special order with an unthreaded lead-in section to speed up the assembly process as well as protect the first threads during assembly.

Type NHTS studs are an addition to Northern Precision’s standard range of self-clinching studs that are available in steel, stainless steel and aluminium in M2 - M8 thread sizes.

The range includes type NFH flush head clinch studs that install fully flush on the back of panels so minimal surface finishing is required after installation. The special castellated clinch feature provides excellent torque out and push out resistance.
