Expansion Insert for Hard Plastics
This expansion insert is designed specifically for press-in installation into hard thermoset plastics.
Utilising a diamond knurling pattern it is able to offer excellent pull-out and torque-out characteristics whilst having minimal hole wall penetration. An added benefit of this insert is the inherent locking action of the thread - making this insert an ideal choice where vibration would usually require a thread locking compound.
Available in un-headed, headed and reverse headed versions and with the option of two body lengths.
For best performance we recommend a pre-moulded hole with a 1° taper (the hole diameter specified should be met at the point reached by the bottom of the insert). Drilled holes may be used but performance may be reduced.
