Insert for Amorphous Plastics
This insert is designed specifically for installation by heat into notch sensitive amorphous thermoplastics.
Utilising a rounded knurling pattern it avoids the stresses raised by the more common sharp straight knurling found on other types of insert.
Available as a fully symmetrical insert (which aids auto fed installation methods as the orientation of the insert doesn't matter) and as a headed version. Studded Versions can also be supplied in a length to suit your application.
For the best possible performance we recommend installation into a pre-moulded hole with a 5° taper (the hole diameter specified should be met at the point reached by the bottom of the insert).
